In the process of drug liquid packaging, accurate positioning and deviation correction of drug bags are key steps to ensure packaging quality. During the production process of the drug liquid packaging, the drug bags may be offset due to various factors such as uneven material tension, mechanical vibration, and transmission speed changes. This will lead to problems such as loose sealing, drug liquid leakage, or uneven packaging appearance, which seriously affect product quality and user experience.

In order to meet the requirements of high precision, fast response, stability and reliability, checking software algorithms behind sensors needs to be self-adaptation, and easy maintenance and upgrading.
This news will share the deviation correction application of AKUSENSE in drug liquid packaging machines
Scenario requirements - deviation correction of drug bag transmission
In pharmaceutical production, accurate transmission of packaging bags is crucial to ensuring product quality and production efficiency; therefore, sensors need to be installed in the transmission of packaging in the bag making machine to detect whether the packaging bags are offset in real time when moving, so that the equipment can make deviation correction actions in a timely and accurate manner.
Difficulties in detection:
1. There are many types of pharmaceutical packaging bags, and packaging bags occasionally have frosted transparent materials
2. Since the material, size and transmission speed of the medicine bag may vary from product to product, the system needs to have a certain degree of adaptive ability to cope with different production needs, so the detection area is required to cover more than 8mm
3. There is no condition to install the host computer/touch screen on site, and the sensor is required to have its own controller for easy use
Solution
The precision laser correction sensor ETD-0612 series is installed on the side of the transmission bag, and uses optical principles to perform high-precision detection of position and deviation.
It transmits light signals to the surface of the packaging bag, receives the reflected light signals, and converts the light signals into electrical signals for analysis and processing. When the packaging bag is offset, the path of the reflected light will change, causing the intensity or phase of the light signal received by the sensor to change, thereby triggering the correction mechanism.
The key tool to ensure accurate transmission of packaging bags
1. Micron-level high precision:
The ETD series correction sensor is selected, which adopts the principle of laser beam detection, has high resolution and accuracy, and can achieve accurate measurement of the position and deviation of the packaging bag. For packaging bags made of frosted transparent materials, by optimizing the light source and detector design, accurate detection can be ensured even in complex optical environments.
The detection area covers 12mm, which is enough to cover the size changes of most pharmaceutical packaging bags, ensuring the comprehensiveness and accuracy of the detection.
2. Non-contact measurement:
The non-contact measurement principle is adopted, which will not cause any damage or contamination to the packaging bags. This is especially important for pharmaceutical packaging bags, because any form of damage or contamination may affect the quality and safety of drugs.
3. 1ms fast response:
The response speed is fast, and the position changes of packaging bags can be monitored in real time and adjusted quickly. This feature is particularly important on high-speed transmission production lines, which can significantly reduce production interruptions and equipment downtime caused by offsets.
4. Easy to integrate and debug:
With CR-M02 controller, it comes with a high-definition color controller, no need to install a host computer, which is convenient for on-site engineers to adjust;
Support 485 to EtherCat network communication, which is convenient for engineers to customize and optimize according to actual needs
5. High stability:
ETD precision laser correction sensor has stable performance under different environmental conditions and has good adaptability to factors such as light intensity and temperature changes. This ensures that in the pharmaceutical production environment, whether it is high temperature, high humidity or other complex conditions, the sensor can work stably and reliably.
